LAFARGEVILLE, NY – As the 2018 go-kart racing season comes to close, kart racers are gearing up for the biggest go-kart race in many years at Can-Am, the “Battle at the Border”.

A minimum of 11 classes will be in competition that night and more may be added depending on interest. Every class will have a special event planned with (2) classes already taking shape. Pro Clone Lite will be racing 20 laps for $500 to win and a 350# Pro Clone class will be going 35 laps for $1000 to win. The $1000 to win show is being sponsored by Corner Speed Kart Connection.

Officials hope to have a sponsor for each division making this a great way to close out the 2018 go-kart season. Some out of town racers have already been to Can-Am over the past few weeks to try out the track in preparation for the September 1st event.

There will be one more weekly program next Saturday, August 25th, so racers will have one last opportunity to tune their karts in for the much anticipated “Battle of the Border”. We are still looking for individual class sponsors for this special event, anyone that would be interested in sponsoring a class should contact the Speedway.

Keep up to date with what’s going on by following us on Facebook at Can-Am Speedway.
